A note about sound systems:

Here Again uses the Bose L1 Personal Amplification System.  This amazing product provides the volume and quality you’d expect from a Bose product, with a minimum of setup/breakdown time.

The Bose L1 projects sound evenly across nearly 180 degrees, ensuring that each system can reach the audience from one side of the stage to the other.  These systems handle our instruments as well as our vocal inputs, without distortion or muffling.

One of the best features – we can hear each other again, rather than drowning each other out!

We highly encourage our fellow musicians to check this product out.  It will improve your sound, reduce your setup time, and save your back (cabinets are HEAVY suckers!).

Digital Mixer:

Here Again uses the PreSonus StudioLive 16.4.2 digital mixer for live events and studio use.  We occasionally Capture our shows as well.

From PreSonus' web site:  "Capture is a digital audio multi-tracking application designed to make recording quick and easy to set-up and operate. Perfect for live recording or mixing your audio real-time to a stereo audio file, Capture software was designed to interface with StudioLive 16.4.2 perfectly to allow instant setup and recording of performances."

This product is amazing!  For about $2K, it provides loads of options, replacing racks of outboard gear, and is very easy to use. It is compact, rugged and rack-mountable.  We are fortunate to have come across this product and we recommend it to others.

A guy wanted to play bass in a band. The band told him, "Okay, but you will have to have 1/3 of your brain removed." So the guy went into surgery. When he woke up, the doctor said, "I'm terribly sorry, but we made a mistake and accidentally removed 3/4's of your brain!" The guy said, "Uh, that's okay. Got some sticks?"

Bio:

Bass & Vocals.  My axe of choice is a Fender 5-string American Jazz bass and a custom Campbell American 5-string bass.  I use a Tech21 SansAmp Bass driver DI and send that signal through our PreSonus StudioLive 16.4.2 digital mixer.  From there, the Bose L1 systems provide top notch sound to our audience.

I’ve been playing music for over 20 years in many facilities and private functions throughout New England.  I’ve worked with several bands, a few more notable ones being Private Stock, The Robert Black Band, Synergy and Broken Heart.  With these groups, I have covered many great songs and several different styles. My influences are too numerous to list but, if you’ll come see the band, I think you’ll find many to be obvious. I try not to limit myself to any one style.  I just try to play great songs, regardless of where they originate.

From my work in the audio visual industry, I have had many opportunities to work with professional musicians, engineers and production people over the last couple of decades.  I have learned much from that work and try to apply that knowledge and experience towards a more professional look and sound while performing my passion.

My goal with Here Again is to have a lot of fun doing what I love and sharing that with our audience.  Nothing is more fulfilling than a positive response from an audience.  I hope you’ll check us out.
